In collaboration with world-renowned architects Kengo Kuma & Associates and the H. C. Andersen Museum, Odense, VOLA celebrates Hans Christian Andersen’s legacy through Denmark’s cultural tradition of enduring design.
The film is the second within VOLA's ongoing culture series, continuing to highlight their modern relevance by showcasing how human-centric Danish design remains deeply embedded in Danish culture.
“What we value in common in Denmark and Japan is the sense of aesthetic derived from appreciation of nature that sustains us. Identity captured the very essence of this and our design philosophy, spatial journey, and effect in a beautifully composed visual language celebrating the H.C. Andersen House.” – Yuki Ikeguchi, Partner and Executive Vice President, Kengo Kuma & Associates
“Identity has managed to capture the spirit and essence of H.C. Andersen and portray the vision behind the new H.C. Andersen Hus in a wonderful way. The film is deeply faithful to the uniqueness of Andersen’s literary universe and tone as well as the museum’s design and vision by Kengo Kuma & Associates.” – Niels Bjørn Friis, H. C. Andersen Museum
